Furnished apartments in Cartagena

In Cartagena we have apartments in two very different beach areas: La Boquilla to the north, and Bocagrande, the modern strip next to the old city.

The difference is pace, not quality. La Boquilla is a fishing neighbourhood with calm beaches and mangroves; Bocagrande is towers, shops and city beach five minutes from the walled city. Which suits you depends on the trip.

Which part of Cartagena should you stay in?

In Cartagena, MÍA Houses manages furnished apartments in two very different beach areas: La Boquilla, north of the city, and Bocagrande, the modern strip up against the historic centre.

The difference is pace, not quality. La Boquilla is a fishing neighbourhood with calm beaches, mangroves and fresh seafood restaurants, about 15 kilometres from the centre, roughly a 20 minute drive or 20 to 30 minutes by bus and shared van along the Manzanillo del Mar road. Bocagrande is high-rises, shops and city beach, five minutes by taxi from the walled city and under 30 minutes on foot.

Most of the apartments have a pool, and several add a jacuzzi and a terrace with a sea view. Short version: for beach without crowds, La Boquilla; to have the historic centre and the shops at your door, Bocagrande.
