We have a single property here, and it is the largest in the inventory: a house facing the reservoir with a jacuzzi, a pool and jetski access. This is a group trip, a long weekend, a celebration.

Guatapé is not a Medellín neighbourhood: it is a town some 73 to 77 kilometres away, about two hours by car, or the same by intercity bus from the Terminal del Norte, with fares from around 17,000 pesos per person.
People go for three things. The reservoir, some 2,200 hectares of water between the mountains, toured by boat, ferry, sailboat or jetski from the port. The Peñol Rock, a 220 metre monolith with 702 steps to the top and entry at around 25,000 pesos per person. And the village of zócalos, whose façades carry painted relief friezes along the lower wall showing everyday scenes, local flora and fauna, and religious symbols.
