What is it like to stay in El Poblado, and what should you know first?
El Poblado is where nearly all of Medellín tourism lands: Provenza and Parque Lleras hold the densest run of restaurants, cafés and nightlife in the city, and the area gets noticeably busy from Thursday to Sunday.
Arriving by metro has a catch that surprises people: from Poblado station on Line A up to Provenza is roughly a 20 minute walk, uphill the whole way, so most visitors take a taxi for that last stretch. José María Córdova airport is a 40 to 60 minute drive depending on traffic.
What MÍA Houses keeps here differs from the rest of the inventory: larger properties with terraces and social areas built for groups and celebrations, with capacity well above our average apartment. For couples, or for anyone who wants quiet, there are smaller and calmer options in Sabaneta, Envigado or Laureles, a few metro stops away.

Getting around from El Poblado
Poblado station on Line A is the way in by metro. One detail catches people out: it is roughly a 20 minute walk from the station up to Provenza, and it is uphill the whole way, so most people take a taxi for that last stretch.

- Provenza The city's fashionable street, between Avenida El Poblado and Loma del Tesoro. Specialty coffee, restaurants and design shops.
- Ecoparque La Presidenta A linear park beside Lleras with trees, coloured bridges, a kids area and an outdoor gym. Farmers markets appear from time to time.
- Vía Primavera A pocket of independent designer shops, steps from Parque Lleras.

How far is Provenza from the metro station?
About a 20 minute walk from Poblado station, but it is uphill the whole way. With luggage or in the heat, take a taxi for that stretch.
Do these work for large groups?

Is El Poblado noisy?
The Lleras and Provenza area is busy at night, especially Thursday to Sunday. If you want quiet, tell us on WhatsApp and we will point you to Sabaneta, Envigado or Laureles instead.
